Have you ever heard the phrase, "It takes a village to raise a baby."? 

Well, it is also true that it takes a village to raise a business as well! And just as a Birth Doula assists new parents as they transition into parenthood, I  work as a Business Doula to help new business owners build their business babies!

Before we get into how I do that, let's rewind a little bit to where this all began. In 2017 my husband and I realized that I was not at all happy about the job that I was working. It was The Joint...the chiropractic place and although it was a great job, it was not my passion or purpose. So it was decided that I would quit that job to focus on my music career and would drive for Uber/Lyft to supplement that income. We leased a car on Monday, July 10, 2017 and Kendra's last day on the job was Tuesday, July 11, 2017. You wouldn't believe that Saturday, July 15, 2017, Kendra was rear-ended in a 3-car accident on the freeway in the same car they had just leased through Uber. It was devastating and horrible timing.

During this time, Kendra was really struggling to figure out her next move, music wasn't making any money and she needed to think of something fast after (Trigger Warning) having a misscarriage which would have been her and her husband's first child. I thought to myself "Now that I know I can get pregnant, I need to be prepared just in case It happens again! So I got the idea to start my business throwing business baby showers, but since we weren't able to host live in-person events, I did a couple of virtual showers, I pivoted and began offering Virtual Assistance Services, but realized these small business owners really were in search of a social media manager.
